SUMMARY

'Our world in 36 frames'
photo workshop for Polish and Chechen children

There will be 14 participants (7 from each nationality) of age 8-11, selected as a winners of the art competition. The workshop will be run by a specialist who will show children basics of photography. Each participant will get their own camera. Next children will start taking the pictures in their environment for a week. They will take pictures of things and people most important to them. We believe that children’s fresh perspective will bring amazing results.

We can see the need of taking actions to enable the two nations to get to know each other, build good relations and take initiatives. Workshop will be accompanied by integration activities. We want children to start new, long lasting relations, to learn new cultures and to become more and more tolerant.

In the end we plan to organize the exhibition of children’s works. The exhibition would be linked to other events and activities connected with the Day of a Refugee such as dance performances, competitions, and samples of traditional food. When the project is closed we plan to publish picture album and a series of calendars presenting the results of the project.
